Supporting the Mount Independence Coalition

The Mount Independence Coalition is a nonprofit organization working to interpret this beautiful historic site, and ensuring that it remains one of Vermont's rich cultural and natural treasures for generations to come. We depend upon membership dues and generous donations from friends and community members to continue our work. This support helped us achieve the following in 2006:

  • Hosting three  interpretive nature talks/walks.

  • Presenting three musical concerts.

  • Hosting two history talks.

  • Interpreting Mount Independence at the Vermont History Expo in Tunbridge.

  • Hosting Howard Burnham's entertaining and educational one-man play about General Cornwallis.

  • Promoting living history at the Mount in the form of the Soldiers Atop the Mount.

  • Continuing to provide rich and interesting educational displays in the Visitor Center.

We have an equally ambitious year ahead, and we need your tax-deductible support. Please consider making a donation in any amount. Send your donation to:

The Mount Independence Coalition, P.O. Box 53, Orwell, Vermont 05760

If you have questions about ways you can help support the work of the Coalition, please contact Ron Morgan, president of the board of the Mount Independence Coalition.

Thank you very much!
